KRC Research Seminars Talk: What is the sensory history of Islamic art?

Dr. Suzanne Compagnon will give a talk in the Khalili Research Centre’s research seminars on November 28th 2024. The talk titled “What is the sensory history of Islamic art?” discusses the relevance of sensory history to the field of Islamic art. It takes stock of the state of research on the sensory history of the Islamic world and outlines some of its far-reaching implications for the study of material and visual culture.
